Hello and welcome! I’m Dr. Lisa Chute, and I’m so excited to be part of your eye care journey. I opened Fairport Eye Care with the goal of creating a space where every patient feels comfortable, cared for, and confident about their vision and eye health. 

I received my Doctor of Optometry degree from The SUNY College of Optometry and have been practicing in Rochester since graduating from optometry school. Over the years, I’ve developed a special interest in dry eye management, ocular disease, myopia management, and scleral contact lenses. I love helping patients find solutions that improve not only their vision, but also their quality of life. 

When you visit Fairport Eye Care, you can expect more than just an eye exam—you’ll experience personalized care in a welcoming environment. My goal is to combine state-of-the-art technology with genuine compassion so that every patient leaves feeling seen, understood, and cared for. 

One of my favorite parts of practicing optometry is helping patients find eyewear that makes them feel great. Glasses should never be “just functional”—they should reflect your personality, style, and lifestyle. At Fairport Eye Care we select high-quality, fashionable frames so that every patient can enjoy eyewear that is as stylish as it is durable. As a Rochester native, this community holds a special place in my heart. Growing up here taught me the value of hard work, kindness, and supporting one another. Now, it’s a privilege to give back to the city that shaped me by providing exceptional eye care for my neighbors, friends, and fellow Rochester families. Serving the people of my hometown is not just my profession—it’s my passion. 

Outside of the exam room, I enjoy cooking, baking, reading, spending time with my family and friends, my pets, wine, and darts.
